Subtitling – also for the deaf and hard of hearing
The best known form of subtitling is interlingual subtitling, in which the subtitles render a concise translation of what a speaker says in another language. Sometimes, that even happens in two languages at once, as in the bilingual subtitles used in the cinema in Belgium. In that case, the upper row shows the French translation, and the lower row shows the Dutch translation.
But did you know that we also specialise in subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing? And you can also come to us for transcriptions of audio or video files.
An example? TV.Klasse regularly calls on us to create Dutch subtitles for the deaf and hard of hearing for their web videos.
